my day (long and painful)

I woke up MANY MANY times during the night in pain and crying from my tooth.  I have known it was cracked for a while but figured I would hold off until after baby.  Also it didn't hurt.

Well after crying and barely sleeping all night and I was alone (DH was at work, J at my mom's) I went to work with the number of a dentist.  We can't use who we used last since I left the city and don't have that insurance and we never used Dh's.

I found a dentist in Poughkeepsie, explained the situation and they fit me right in, TG!  Well they took xrays and said that I needed my tooth out asap and called surgeon to send me there today. My nerve was exposed which caused all the pain.

So At 12 I drove from Poughkeepsie to Brewster (to get my mom/J)  and back to Newburgh for the appointment.  at 1:30 and had my top left wisdom took taken out.  Lucky pregnant me can't take any good painkillers.  So I am home now and planning on actually get sleep tonight.  What a day though.

Re: my day (long and painful)

  • Oh Navy, that is a long rough day.  Made even worse by no sleep the night before.  I remember when I had a bad tooth, the pain was horrible.  I cried like a big baby.  The only difference, I WASN'T preggers...so yeah, I got the good drugs.

I hope you get through the pain and do get some decent sleep tonight.

  • ((HUGS)) Feel better!

  • Oh jease!  Take it easy and hope you feel better.  You are one brave Mama to do that without good pain meds.

    Get well soon!

  • I slept!  DH was at work and ILs took Jack.  I slept until 10:30 and finally able to rest all day until my 4:20 OB weight check and bloodwork for 16week.  It never stops.
