I am proud of myself.
I've forced (or sometimes NOT forced) myself to exercise 3-4 days a week during the pregnancy. Some weeks I am really tired, others not so bad. With the exception of the very beginning, I have consistently worked out/exercised.
Thanks to the daily mile, I know I have logged over 3 hours of working out last week; over 13.5 miles (most elliptical at an incline & medium resistance; a couple miles max of walking) and 2, 30 minute strength/weight sessions.
Over the past 4 weeks though, it's about 37 miles (including todays) mostly on the elliptical, but sometimes w/ walking also, and on average 2 weight lifting/strength sessions a week.
My goal is to keep it up until at least 32 weeks...Ideally up to 35 weeks, but who knows how I will feel.
It just scares me that I've gained 25 lbs already and still have roughly 15 weeks to go (assuming I don't go early). What would it be if I wasn't working out!?!?!?
Re: I kind of posted this on another board, but (re: working out, and kind of an AW)
I know you've probably heard this already, but it is probably water weight. Are you swollen at all?
When I left the hospital after having R, I was so excited to weigh myself thinking I would be down at least 12-13lbs (he was 7lbs 15oz). I almost fell over when I had only lost 3lbs when in the hospital. Weight is such a weird thing during and shortly after giving birth.
Now 3 weeks out, I'm down over 20lbs (I gained just over 30). If your Dr isn't stressed about it then you shouldn't be either. I bet you will drop the weight very quickly after birth. I know of people who gained over 60lbs (who were very small prior to being pregnant) and they too dropped very quickly as well.
I don't think I am swollen- my doctor didn't seem to think so, either today. But, you could be right. Except for my butt and thighs, I didn't think water could be stored there
J- You are seriously an inspiration! I have worked out once in the last 10 weeks and convinced myself that it wasn't good for me (I was very short of breath). I promise I will try again starting next week!
As for the weight, I agree it could be water. But also you could be gaining more muscle since you've been so consistent with your weight training. And since you've stayed in shape I bet it will be much easier for you to lose after the birth.

Jax,
That's an awesome accomplishment that you should be very proud of...I'm proud of you. If you keep up the way you're going, you shouldn't have to worry about losing or gaining.

Hey, the instructor in my prenatal pilates DVD was 36 weeks at the time of filming. It amazes me that she's still so energetic and not at all out of breath. I think consistency is key. And I think you'll be able to keep working out as long as you want to. You're doing great!
