Am I forgetting anything?

Hey Ladies - I am working on planning a friends Bridal Shower for July and I'm wondering if I'm forgetting any necessary items...here's my list so far.

  • Invitations
  • Plates
  • Napkins
  • Plastic Cups
  • Plasticware (Knives, Forks, Etc)
  • Tableclothes
  • Favors
  • Prizes for games
  • Cake (or cupcakes)
  • Beverages
  • Food

Thanks for your help!!

Re: Am I forgetting anything?

  • A notebook and pen to write down the names and who gave what gifts.

Other than that, I think you're good!

  • do you guys make those hats out of the ribbon from the presents? You might beed tape, etc to make one if you do.

  • It might seem cheesey, but I found it helpful at showers to have name tags so that people know who the guests are. You can make it fun and have people write how they know the bride/groom etc.

  • This list looks great to me! I have to help plan one for May, and am a bit stressed. I like the idea of writing down who gave what on a master list.
  • Thanks so much ladies!  I added a notebook and pen to the list as well as tape and scissors to assemble the ribbon bouquet.  Depending on how many guests we have I may do nametags as well.  Thanks again!
  • For the ribbon bouquet, I thought you just took a paper plate.  Then cut a slit into the paper plate from the edge up to the center.  Then slide the ribbons through the slit.  That's what my MOH did, and it worked out perfectly and was super easy. :)

Put some mints/pretzels/chex/ mix/etc on the tables for people to nibble on, too.

Garbage bags to throw wrapping paper away (They  rented a hall for mine and had to supply our own trash bags... so just in case. :))

Things to make coffee (sugar, milk, filters, grounds, etc) and cups.  We had the punch with the sprite, hawaiian punch, and sherbert, but lots of people wanted coffee with their cake (especially the older generation grandma, aunts, etc).

EDIT:  Wishing well or some place to put cards in.

  • Sorry about the duplicate quote posts with no actual response - TN hates me today lol.  It also wont let me delete them so again - I apologize.

Catarntina - I was quoting you to respond to your ribbon bouquet part - In the past when I've been at showers a lot of guests will use the sticky bows that arent long enough to "pull through" the paper plate so tape is helpful to stick them on and fill out the plate.

    I've also seen staples used!
