Shark steam mop users, come on in
Can you give me your honest thoughts? I've seen it mentioned a few times now and I'm intrigued. I have never been able to find a mop or wet swiffer-like product that I felt worked well. I always feel like the floors are still dirty and that I have to get on my hands and knees to scrub certain spots. If we get this house (fingers crossed), the whole first floor is tile so this is a situation I'm definitely going to have to rectify!
Re: Shark steam mop users, come on in
You still have to sweep/vacuum first (especially with pets!) but I like it much better than a swiffer. It is sturdier and gets the floor much cleaner. Also, for tough spots, you just prime the handle a few times and let it sit on the spot and it comes right up. No scrubbing needed. I also especially like that the pads are reusable and I'm not using chemicals. The model I have has two sided pads, so you just flip it over instead of changing the pad. It also has two different attachments, a rectangular one and a triangle. The Triangle is perfect for using in our tiny bathrooms.
Seriously, I love this thing. I hate mopping, but I like using the Shark.
I hate mopping but with the Shark it's not too bad. I have a 1250 sq/ft house and with the model I have I have to fill up the water twice to do the whole house.
It might help to know about my flooring.
Pergo (living areas): Works really well but you can't leave it sit in one spot.
Tile (kitchen, foyer, bathrooms): I don't really know about the grout b/c our grout is dark to begin with, but it is GREAT for tile floors. Mine are kind of textured and it gets into the cracks well, especially if you prime it over trouble spots.
