On a totally random note.
We've lived in this house for a year and a half. I found a single, teenytiny, baby little roachlette in the bathtub on week two. And that was it. We're relatively bug free.
Or so I thought.
Since the first of the year, Dinah has caught and killed no fewer than five giant, mutated, kill-a-man-in-his-sleep roachzillas and deposited them in the EXACT MIDDLE of the living room. I still haven't see one living, and she is VERY proud of her kills.
Where does she find them? How are they getting into my house? Is it even freaking roach season?
On the plus side, she's a proven and effective killing machine, and we should have no problem with mice if we ever move to the country.
Also, today is Daisy's third birthday. I'm one of those crazies that celebrates things like that.

hmmm well don't these things move inside when it is cold out? At least that's what I thought about mice. Set some traps up and you should be fine. My cat would just look at it so at least you have a hunter!

This post should have come with a warning note... I sort of hate you now. That's one thing I love about my apartment (one of the very few things left to love); we're on the second floor so we don't get too many bugs. I used to live in a really old building on the first floor and we had ants/roaches/everything all the time. iiiiiick.
Other than that, today sucks. We had nice 50 degree weather all weekend, but I woke up to snow and sleet again today. I REALLY hope this is the last bout of winter, because I'm sick of this shiit.

I think that roaches mainly come out in the dark, so just because you haven't seen any it doesn't mean that they aren't all over. I'd set some traps and see if you catch any (I want to say there's some traps that have like sticky stuff on them so the roaches can't get off once they walk on it).
My day is off to a fantastic start! (is my sarcasm font working today?) I just got to work and I already have a plethora of issues to research and figure out if my team did something wrong or if the blame lies with someone else. Here's to hoping it's not my team!

So far, so good today. I work from home so I don't have to worry about the slushy mess outside, but it does probably mean I won't be taking the dog on a nice long walk during lunch. Poor pup!
