I just found out that another family from the camp I volunteer at is preparing to lose their father, who has Fanconi Anemia and is suffering from throat cancer. He has an amazing wife and 2 beautiful daughters and I am absolutely heartbroken. He has been very lucky to have lived as long as he has, as many Fanconi patients don't see the age of 30 but it's still not fair and it makes me hate this disease more and more everyday. He is currently in hospice care so please keep him and his family in your thoughts that he passes on with as little pain and suffering as possible.

April Nesties March siggy challenge: Next Vacation, Anguilla!!
That's so sad! I know from experience with how much losing a father young can affect someone as I see every day in Jeff and his sister (he was 12, she was 6). My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to them.
Our small community is dealing with some trama this week as well. A girl that graduated a few years under me was in a skiing accident yesterday, and has severe brain trama. They had to remove part of her skull, but we are hoping for the best. One of my closest friend's brother was in an accident two years ago and had a major brain injury and fully recovered, so let's hope she can do the same!
