tell me about good reads
After reading through Kristen's book post, I want to know more about good reads. I read tons but know next to nothing about good reads. For people who use it, what do you like about it? How often do you use it?

I love it - it's a great way to connect with friends that are also into reading and see their reviews, get recommendations and keep a running tally of what you've read and what you still want to read. You can also enter to win books, which is kind of fun.
Whenever I read an article reviewing books or see a message board post about them, I always open up my Goodreads account to add to...it's a problem.
The one thing I wish it did was recommend books or authors based on your ratings of books you've read...it doesn't. But it's still fun to have one spot to keep track of books to read - I always write down a list of books from there to take with me to the library. Surely there's some sort of smart phone app for this, but, alas, I am without a smart phone.
