Nola

Yesterday was your doctor's appt, right?

How did it go?  Any progress?  I'm so excited for you!!

Re: Nola

  • Sry I haven't updated. Our computer decided to die on us yesterday and while J tries to fix it I only have my phone - which as easy as it makes it is still a PITA to post as much as I would if I had acess to my laptop. Boo!

So yeah I'm still only 2-3 cm dilated. Grrr. No real change from last week. J literally said "damnit!" and the doc laughed at him. She asked if I wanted to schedule an induction (which she said for me would be simply breaking my water, no pitocin) but I'm not ready for that at all - I don't want it to lead to pit and then the snowballing thereafter. I'm very particular about going as intervention and med free as possible. Just like last time. If there is still no progress next Tuesday then she will "stretch" me/strip my membranes and we'll see what happens then.

It's totally a "watched pot effect" right now. Gah!!! I pulled out my prenatal class binder with exercises and stuff to help move things along. Lol. I'm so done y'all.
  • I understand.  I was so sleep-deprived those last few weeks because of how uncomfortable and down right painful sleep was.

Do you think you are more impatient because your doctor made it seem like you would go earlier than you did with Gabby?

My mom told me that she didn't know what to do with herself when she was pregnant with my littlest sister.  She was about 37 weeks when I was born and even earlier with J.  M was born 5 days before her due date, so mom was getting really impatient! LOL!

  • Ohhh yeah I think that has a lot to do with my impatience - expecting this baby to come early or even earlier than Gabby did. **shakes fist at doctor!** I guess I was a good patient tho - when doc started freaking out about preterm labor back at 25 wks I followed her orders and I guess that's why we're here now. :)

But yeah, overall I am just miserable this pregnancy. I felt none of this with Gabby. I seriously felt like I could have been pregnant forever with her and not minded. Not so much this go round. But having a toddler already and this just being a pregnancy so close to the first I'm sure has a lot to do with it. Doc is fine with me going to 40+ wks tho because my weight gain and blood pressures have been perfect so she's in no rush to induce either but wanted to offer it to me because I have been so uncomfortable. But I'll stick it out.
  • You can do it! These weeks will be over before you know it. I am thinking you are just more anxious to go partially bc the doc said you will go early. I mean, you are only 38 weeks today. A lot of ppl go to 42 weeks if they aren't induced. If the baby isn't ready, it isn't ready.
