Organizing purses

Hello all, I am trying to organize my purses in a functional way in my smaller home and I can't seem to do it!  I have about 20 purses (it's didn't seem like that much until I typed it!) and I'd like to keep as many as I can.  How does everyone else organize their purses?

Re: Organizing purses

  • How about something like THIS.  You could put a few on each shelf.  Are they "nice" purses, or could you put 1 inside the other (I had 1 purse inside another, and that inside a large diaper bag)?
  • This might work, and actually I have a couple of these up, but some of my purses are large and wouldn't fit inside there.  I do have my smaller purses inside of my larger ones already.  When I used to have a larger walk in closet I would hang my purses up using shower rings like these. http://www.target.com/Shower-Curtain-Rings/dp/B000063SB3/ref=sc_pd_gwvub_3_title

But I just don't have the space to do this anymore.

  • I have the cloth baskets (you know the ones that you can find at Bed Bath and Beyond) in small, medium, and large. I have them on our shelves in the closet. I organize them according to size.
  • I bought a hook thing that clips over the top of my wardrobe door, and then it has hanging hooks all the way down the back of the door so that you can hang all of your purses on the back of a wardrobe door, bedroom door etc.

  • I keep them in their dust bags on shelves or if they do not have dust bags I keep them in clear tupperware containers so they are easily stacked.

I did something similar to this- but I used command strips instead. works great. I have two rows instead of one so they don't go down so far.

I bought these kind of organizers (one is for purses and I believe the other is a sweater organizer) both to hang in the closet. They work great!
