What has been your best birthday? How old were you turning and what made it so awesome?

Probably my 24th birthday. H took me to JoeVision in Detroit to watch the Wings play the Avalanche during a playoff round (Wings won it all that year). He tried to get tickets to a playoff home game but it was out of his price range, so he took me to the jumbotron game on my birthday instead. The Wings lost that game, but it was still fun! He saw my crazy hockey side for the first time (and still decided to stick with me
). I remember my mom was mad I wasn't spending my birthday with my family.
This year's (33) will be good, I think, with the Paul Simon concert on that day.
Either my 18th- My ex got a bunch of our friends together and we all had dinner at Carrabbas- I got a WHOLE cake of my favorite dessert there and then he booked a hotel on the beach for all of us. So fun!
Or my 22nd- DH (before we were seriously dating) surprised me with dinner (again at Carrabbas) with my family and a few of my friends.
I like surprises.
Since I'm a New Year's baby, I always celebrate New Year's Eve since most people aren't up for celebrating again on evening of the 1st.
My 18th B-day was my "Golden Birthday" - 01/01/01.... which was a lot of fun. Basically just your usual high school party at someone's grandparent's shore house, but my friends and I all got ridiculously dressed up, my bf at the time came home from college for the night, and I drunkingly made everyone sing me Happy Birthday when the ball dropped...
My 23rd was also a blast. We did this nye ferry boat ride that went up and down the Delaware and stopped to watched the fireworks over the Ben Franklin bridge. It was on of those get really dressed up and have open bar things, but all my college friends and some high school friends came and I just remember it being one of the greatest birthdays....

I'd have to say my 21st was one of my best birthdays ever. a bunch of friends and I flew down to Miami to celebrate. we got into Miami the night before my birthday and so when the clock hit midnight, I was down in the hotel bar having my first legal drink. that night we all got super dressed up and I wore a crown and everything... cheesy, I know, but it was so fun! the whole trip was a blast... laid on the beach during the day and hit all the nightclubs in the evenings. definitely memorable.
my 16th was really awesome too though - my parents threw me a big party and rented out a clubhouse and invited ALL of my friends... there were about 50 people there and they hired a DJ and everything. it was also my last birthday with my mom, so it's special.
