Update on Jerk from HS
I posted last week about this guy that basically tormented me in HS whom my friend (old friend) recently told me she got engaged to. Well, I caught up with her via telephone this weekend and as someone posted (I think it was Melanie...) I don't even think she'll make it back up to Rockland. Basically, the jerk caught up with her on FB in February, came down to FL to take her to a concert, ended up not taking her out but rather spending the weekend in a hotel with her (which old friend was head over heels about) , then jerk came back to NY and mentioned that they should get married. At some point, I was planning on telling old friend about a disturbing incident that took place with her FI, but after an hour of her ranting things that didn't make sense I realized she has bigger problems. It's amazing how you could be friends with someone in HS who you totally would never choose as a friend if you met them today. Her and I are on so many different pages. She has no engagement ring or anything but claims she is comming up here in May for a civil marriage ceremony (once the jerk tells his mom!). She also says she is leaving her 16 year old son in FL with her parents because he is too much too handle as a teenager. What?!!!! You are leaving YOUR child in another state to marry some man you haven't seen in 18 years(with the exception of a nice hotel room)? Did you ever think if your son is having problems, that he might need you now more than ever? I just cant! On a positive note, she did give me information about our upcomming reunion and put me in touch w some other old friends who still live in the area. I have a friend from elementary school that caught up with me 5 years ago and we are like two peas in a pod again. But in this case, I will just consider her an old friend and keep it moving. Thanks for hearing my rant ladies.

Lol, she's on my FB...the horoscope guru. She claims through her horoscope/psychic abilities (whatever) that the jerk was brought back into her life. Now, it's all just entertainment to me. Every status I update is turned into a horoscope thing!
how sad for her. and she probably presents what she thinks is the best stuff when talking about her life to others.

Yes...that's exactly what she does. I gave DH the short version, just as a head's up if she's ever in Rockland not to run his big mouth and invite her over.

You're too much! I almost feel bad laughing about it becase it's sad... but I just can't sympathize for women who put a man before their kids.
