Reese has been acting funny when it comes to going to the bathroom. The pedi wanted to see her to rule out a uti. I called school to tell them I would be picking her up early. I sent her in a diaper, so I assumed that's what she would have on. Nope, she had on undies and they went through all of her diapers. Why they didn't tell me this, I don't know?!?! We get to the office, and she says she has to potty. I ask the nurse if we need a ua. She leaves and takes forever to come back. Reese peed her pants

and I had nothing clean to put on her! They suddenly can't figure out what to do to get a sample. Umm...that's why I told you she had to pee! Finally, they decided to use a bag, so I force fed her water to get her to pee. We were there for 2 hours!! And of course it was during lunch and nap time, so she was a hot mess. They gave me a diaper to put on her and I had clean clothes in the car for her. And the ua came back negative.

They sent it out to be cultured, just in case. I'm sure I was deemed mom of the year by the pedi and the nurses

I would have wanted to smack the nurse for not figuring out a way to capture her pee when she needed to do so.
I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience! Hopefully they figure out what is wrong with her though.
Ugh. I had a similar appointment with Maya a while back (minus peeing in her pants I guess) We've had to give 2 urine samples at the pedi and both times have been a nightmare. The first time we were in the bathroom for 45 minutes and she refused to pee in the hat. We ended up taking it home (and of course she went as soon as we walked in the door) and I had to take the sample back in. The second time we were there for almost 2 hours before she finally went in the hat.
Both times there was no infection. She just had some external irritation that was causing burning.
Poor punkin
And poor mama! I hope you can get it figured out soon!
