I would have some further discussions with your husband about exactly what he is looking for in this sexual arena. Is he looking for manual anal play for prostate stimulation? Is he thinking about toy penetration with butt plugs/dildos? Or is he truly interested in thrusting penetration?
I don't know how much you have played together in this area. If you have already done manual play and toy play and are looking to move into pegging, I would suggest investing in a good harness (so that it doesn't shift around too much so you have correct control) and using a dildo slightly smaller than the one your H likes currently. The pelvic thrusting sensation will be slightly different than hand operation.
If you haven't done a lot of other anal play (hands and toys), I would start there and then move into pegging to make sure he is comfortable with these sensations.
