Nothing much going on over here. Just getting through Thursday, possibly going to the gym tonight, and having pork tostadas for dinner. I just sent in a job app to a place that interviewed me last fall--I withdrew from their search because the job wasn't up my alley, but this job (and the org as a whole) is. I'm hoping the withdrawal doesn't affect my chances; it was totally professional and I know the HR person liked me a lot. But if it does, it does. Fingers crossed, though.

Tired. DH and I haven't been sleeping well, so we even slept in different rooms last night to have some space. It still didn't work. I'm hoping when I can finally open the windows again I'll be sleeping better.
Otherwise, just another lazy work day and then home to read and lounge. Grey's Anatomy night, so hopefully it's new and not another repeat.

Good morning! Good luck, Susi! In my opinion the withdrawal shouldn't hurt your chances. An interview is meant to be two-sided so it's good that you were upfront with them and withdrew when you realized that it wasn't going to be the right fit.
My boss is off work the rest of the week so I'm looking forward to a couple of quiet days in the office. I'm hoping that this will be a great opportunity to wrap up a few projects that I've been working on. Tonight I'm excited for some basketball.

Nothing new here today. I got most of the way caught up at work yesterday (after working10 hours) so I am hoping today will be a little more laid back. Everyone at my house is finally well hope no more sickness comes our way for awhile.

I am in a gloomy mood today...after a 75 degree day last Friday, we woke up today to snow. WTF Mother Nature? Conferences are today, so I am going to be here till 6:00 tonight. I brought my old school NES, and Nintendo 64, so that should help pass the time.
Last night we went to Quizzo with a bunch of friends, and I have to say it was a nice break from all the house stuff we have been doing.
I gave myself a goal of completing 2 artifacts for my portfolio a day, so I'd be done by Sunday. I'm pleased to say I have 3 completed today, and it's only 9am. However now it's time to rest.
I'm in much more pain today then I was yesterday. I need to just take it easy.
yesterday the placement worker came over with our licensing worker, and they seemed excited that we aren't like most dual licensed home. They usually only see people who want a Caucasian baby under 12 months with parental rights gone already. Where as we want a black baby, well not necessarily baby, but kiddo between 0 and 4, and if it's a sibling set up to age 7. So that helps in terms of how long it will take us to get a placement.
Anyway today is being spent on the couch watching girly movies because I did my work for the day.
Good luck with the job app Susi. I agree with Amie that you handled the withdrawl in a professional manner and it shouldn't hurt you.
Last night was the last night of our euchre league, and I have no good stories to report. B and I lost, but we played really well. The score in the first game was 9 to 10 and in the second it was 8 to 10. The people we played against were fairly normal and nice, so no drama.
I feel like an awful pet mom this morning. I dropped Iko off at the vet to get spayed and she howled the entire drive there. I know the surgery is necessary, but I hate that she will be in pain and that she was so scared. I know, I'm such a wuss.
Today should be a normal day at work. I have a bunch to do, as always, but I'll probably pop in later this afternoon.

I'm exhausted this morning! I went to a pub with my boss and several other co-workers last night. We had a great time but I'm paying for it today. Hope the day goes by fast and I can get to bed early tonight.

Today kind of sucks a little bit... It's CD3 so I decided to take the fertility test that came with my FRER tests. I got 2 strong lines indicating a elevated FSH... which appears to mean there is a chance there is something more severely wrong than just our timing (which makes sense since we are hitting my O)... I scheduled a consultation for next month to maybe start getting more answers... I know these tests can be sht, but I'd rather get the ball rolling if things are bigger then they appear...
I won a $50 Anthro gift card last week on a blog and it arrived yesterday... as usual I'll be shopping this wkd.

it's a rainy and gloomy day here in DC. I've heard rumors of snow this weekend, so I am not pleased. hitting the gym tonight with DH. thanks to my new phone, I've created a workout plan for myself. now that I'm not seeing my trainer, it's hard to know what exercises I need to do, so having a list helps immensely.
OH, and I got some moolah from my dad for my birthday, so if I'm not KU this month, I will be making a tattoo appointment to finally get my sleeve finished!

Evening ladies!
Yesterday was a crappy day--just exhausting and frustrating, but today was much better. I just made pizza and now I'm hanging out, correcting some papers. Ed has a board meeting, so he's coming home late.
I made an appointment today for next month with my doctor to start figuring out why I'm not pregnant yet (since it has been almost a year since we started trying). I am Oing nowish, so I am hoping that I won't need the appointment when it comes to it, but I am also feeling better about taking the first step. Fingers crossed!
