Re: Tornado
That's nuts.
I'm about an hour from Pitt/G-burg, but that's the closest I've ever been to a tornado. We had some pretty wicked winds here though. 40 foot tall pine trees were pretty much tops to the ground. Lots of tree branches everywhere.
We've been on a flood watch since last week, but it was mostly creeks/streams. The rivers/flash flooding aspect of it aren't quite that bad though.
It's funny you say this...after the Japan quake/tsunami, Danny said to me, "When the world ends in 2012, I hope I'm asleep." The whole world is just AFU, y'know? Weather and all.
They do seem to get hit hard. We're usually lucky in that we're down in the valley and the storms (thunder and snow) usually blow right over us. But lately we've had some pretty bad ones.
Guys...don't go there. I'm already paranoid as fluck, this stuff just creeps me out all the more.
You can rest easy:

VIRGINIA: You can scoff all you want, but we?re talking about ancient wisdom here. Mayan calendar only goes up to the year 2012.
BURT: Yeah, well, my Hot Girls on Snowmobiles calendar only goes up ?til December. Does that mean the world?s going to end? No. Just means my Hot Girls on Tractors calendar is on its way!
Hope it made you feel better Tara!

Apparently someone at Mayan Printers Inc didn't get the memo to continue making calendars for eternity. Darn conquistadors and their pestilence.
