It's slow at work today

...and that means I'm going to hijack posts and discuss other things within them I suppose.

Hm....what can I tell you in this post. I have no idea why this popped into my head, but remember how I lost the big V to my good friend (who is no longer alive) at my friends fishing camp with my other friends beating in the window? Well, for some reason now that said friend is not alive one of my other friends commented to me that it was kind of "romantic" now that I could say I lost it to him.

My response was...ummmm....not really. I mean I still lost it with you beating on the window asking if I was having sex and then he went to sleep so we put our other drunk friend in bed with him while we made someone take us to the grocery to get doritos in his car (meaning guy I just did it with's car). Don't you recall that after we got back I hooked up with that really hot guy in said car and I believe that was the first time anyone's mouth had been "down there" on me and I believe I reciprocated? I fail to see what's romantic about that.

After that she had to agree with me.

Again, I have no idea where that popped into my head, but I felt obligated to share the rest of the story with you guys since I think I only told half of it.

I'm bored. Entertain me!

  • That's a weird comment for your friend to make... just because said guy has passed...?  Hmm.

I feel all old today ya'll.  Like J and I aren't keeping up with technology and stuff.  We're stuck in our bubble.  So J fixed our computer, but not before it freaked the eff out because he tried using bit-torrent or u-torrent or torrent something or other.  He had asked someone he works with (a younger guy) what has replaced Limewire/Kazaa/etc etc etc and said guy told him this.  Yeah we obviously don't know what we're doing there.  So uh yeah sticking with Amazon downloads.  So after that, while he's trying to wipe the hard drive and start fresh (thank goodness for external hard drives, yo!) he's getting frustrated because our computer is a good three years old (omg ancient!) and he starts looking at new ones and we're both like wtf does all this MEAN?  What are all these letters and numbers and hard drive space and memory size and omg I felt so old and out of the LOOP!

And yet at the same time, I like don't even care.  OMG... I'm turning into my parents.  Gah!!

My H is a pro at this stuff.  He uses Torrent to download stuff all the time.  He's constantly looking into computer parts, since he built the desktop, and wants to upgrade it.

There was a quote in a book I recently finished where the mother of the heroine says "I've been married to your father for 3 decades.  Of course I'm a geek."  -The father runs a comic book store.-  Anyways, so I ask H that since I'm married to him and he's a dork does that make me a dork.  And he said "yes".  Totally not fair!!  Then he started naming dorky stuff that he knows I know what it is.  Still not fair!

  • I'm bored at work today to.  I have tomorrow off for spring break and today is just going to CRAWL by.  I can't wait for my long weekend.  I need it so badly.
  • I'm bored too.  Trying to rein in my temper bc I feel like b*tching at DH tonight.  The boy literally watches tv and plays video games at night...that's it.  He doesn't help me with anything!  I don't remember the last time he washed a dish.  I feel like an enabler sometimes by picking up after him, but I don't want dirty dishes all over the freaking place.

If it makes you feel any better your entire computer paragraph is like jibberish to me. If a computer works I know how to use it. If it breaks I'm in trouble. All this download whatever-ness is foreign to me. I know how to download Adobe, but that's about it!

Oh, and I found it odd that my friend said that too. Very strange to me, but she's super emotional and passionate, so maybe in her mind it was a romantic idea until I reminded her of the story. Who knows.

  • Who's gonna step up and do today's random poll???
  • OMG I got my @$$ handed to me today at work. Like seriously I've never run so much in my life. Now that I have taken my shoes off I can barely walk on my left foot. I'm worried that I might have a stress fracture.

Why does it seem like this board always picks up on the days I can't even glance at it?
