Re: Pets...
This is Lulu
She is 1 1/2 and is half chocolate lab and don't know the other half. She is a big lover and sweetheart!
This is Elmo
She is 14. My mom let me get her for my birthday in middle school. She is an awesome cat. Very independent but at the same time loves cuddling.
We don't have any pets due to our current living situation
but one day we will have an English Bulldog...if it's a boy his name will be Tank, a girl-Phoebe.
We have 2 dogs, Diesel and Ellie.
Diesel is a Rottweiller/German Shepherd/Husky mutt, and is now almost 2.5 years old.
Here's baby Diesel:
Ellie is a 4.5 year old Blue Heeler (Aussie Cattle Dog) mutt.
Baby Ellie:
and here's a fairly recent pic of both of them lounging in the back yard:
This is Tony, aka The Fuff. He is seen here in his natural state--sleeping. He enjoys catnip, being clean and sleeping and hates being touched, people in general, and.....
Alex, the "biological child." We've had him since he was a 6 week old ball of fluff. He enjoys cuddling, food, getting into trouble, food, treats, food, attention and the occasional snack. Hates water and flicks (when he's bad.)
I have lots of puppy pictures, so please bear with me.
My babies:
Buddy (2 year old chihuahua/pug mix)--He's the smaller of the two boys, but he's a fatty. He weighs 26 pounds. Does lots of tricks. Too smart for his own good. Loves to cuddle; nicknames Pug-a-Chug and Pugs-n-Hugs.
Benny (3 year old red/white beagle). Benny is about 24 pounds. He does bay, but only when you egg him on. Also a Houdini-Dog; has broken out of every single crate we've had. Currently resides in a crate built for German Shepherds (which he has broken out of) wrapped with a 10 foot, 1" thick steel cable. Also too smart for his own good.
Emmy, a 3 year old pound kitty. She's a big girl, almost 13lbs. Robin calls her a tom cat, and I say "we big boned girls have to stick together."
Annie, 1 1/2. She was a stray at my family's orchard. We couldn't let her get eaten by the coyotes. She's a little runt at 7lbs. We call her our special needs kitty. She's not the sharpest tack in the box, but we love her anyway.
They think they're dogs. They greet us at the back door every time we come home. Emmy plays fetch. Annie can't figure that one out.
Grace is an American Bulldog, who just turned 4 at the beginning of March. She loves everyone and greets them with a gigantic smile!
She is goodnatured, even when she is being tortured by the evil cone of shame!
She happens to be absolutely gorgeous as well as being such a complete love. This is her "Blue Steel".
Of course, the best part about her is that she's an indespensible part of our family.
She even has her own dog. (his name is Gruff- and if you tell her, "Go get your Gruff, she'll bring him to you)
Who wouldn't want such a pup?
Stand up for something you believe in.
Here we have Jake. He is a 12 year old (birthday was yesterday!) German Shorthair. I love him. He has gotten calmer in his old age, but still acts like a puppy when going on walks, car rides and when the door bell rings. He is very spoiled and HATES thunderstorms. He has started to be destructive when he is left alone (like tears apart boxes, remove everything in cupboards, etc) so he has to be crated. He hates it and has started to channel his inner Houdini.

This little lady is Cleo. She is about 6 1/2 years old. We adopted her from the humane society. She is very independant and only cuddles with me when she's cold. She likes to hide under tables and loathes being picked up. She prefers canned food and probably wishes she got more of it. Besides sleeping, she also enjoys laying in the sun, rolling in cat nip and chasing string.

Last, but definitely not least, here is Cooper. He is somewhere between 2-3 years old. We adopted him a little over a year ago from the humane society. When we got him he looked very sickly and was missing about 40% of his fur. We almost passed because we were nervous about potential health issues. We took a chance and are very, very happy with that decision. He is very active and likes to get into anything and everything possible. He likes to hang out in the basement and meow loudly to himself and take many, many naps. Every night before bed, he "kisses" Andy goodnight. He sleeps on my side of the bed, but is a bed hog. His fur is all grown back and he is very healthy.

Anakin is a papillon from a champion blood line. I obtained him from a rescue situation. The Papillon is also ranked as one of the more intelligent breeds (I think they are ranked #2 smartest breed) of dog and they excel performance competition, therapy and service work.
Anakin is about 10 pounds, very active, but can also be cuddly. Papillons are not from the toy breed, so he's not like a typical small dog (no high sqeeky barking all the time). My baby will be 6 on march 31st.
I sometimes think I love my dog more than my husband.
Here's Austin, our 2 year old pit/boxer/wtf mix, looking out the window and sitting in a basket of clean laundry. Tisk tisk.
And here is Lilly, our 1 year old (3/20!) pit/boxer/hound mix, snuggled up sleeping with J.
Austin's as crazy as they come, and Lilly is goofy, but we absolutely love our dogs. They always make me smile. We also have 3 cats Princess, Zoey, and Bo. It's a zoo here.
We have Oscar. He's a 4 year old Shih Tzu, weighs about 6.5 pounds when he's at his furriest - he's a cuddler!
This is Tiki. She is a 1 1/2 yr old miniature pinscher mix (we think with chihuahua) rescue.
She loves to play and has more energy than any dog I've seen, but she also loves to cuddle, and sits beside you or on you, preferably under a blanket on the cooler days since she's got short hair.
She isn't a barker, and does not bark unless you are enticing her and playing with her. She also isn't much of a chewer/destroyer until you leave her alone for a long time. She loves everyone and she loves food, but is not allowed people food. I can't imagine how I lived without her.
I'm around to play today!! and I love to AW my June as much as possible....
Here is our little baby girl, June. She was a rescue and the ultimate "impulse purchase" (meaning, we had 0 intention of getting a dog at the time we saw her). But (and not to sound too braggy) she is seriously the best dog. Doesn't chewing anything but her rawhides, rarely barks, doesn't dig, and set a world record with potty training (her last accident was when she was 12 wks old and she has never pooped in the house). I'm head over heels for my snuggle partner Junebug
On my lap the night we picked her up, abt 8 wks. SO cute!!
Another cute puppy pic, abt 9 wks:
She LOVES our pool. Here she is cooling down in the shade behind a raft:
Here's a more recent pic... staring at me b/c she wants a walk:
CB claims he isn't a big fan of snuggling with dogs but this picture tells otherwise...
We have 4 animals total. 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Here's Princess. She's a 6 year old Silky Pommeranian. She weighs about 5lbs and is my little baby. I treat her like a child (which I know you're not supposed to do but she's a good listener) I got her when I was 19 and had never had a dog before so I truly was naive about how to train her. I think I did a pretty good job though. She is a bit of a barker when people come and ring the doorbell but for the most part, our friends just walk in and it avoids the barking.
Here's Bandit. He's around 2 and we have had him for a year now. We adopted him from Mississippi and he has changed our lives so much. He was so scared and timid when we met him but he had so much love we knew we could break him! He is a completely different dog than the day we got him. He has calmed Miss Princess down quite a bit. He will be the best companion for Nate and our future kids.
Here's Chloe. I rescued her in 2007. She was (and still can be) very timid. She's a snuggler though and often will drool a little on you if you get her purring really hard. Here's my absolute favorite picture with her and Princess
Then we have Sabre. She was Kevin's cat and she's a b!tch. She runs the house for the most part. Of course Princess really does but sometimes Sabre gives her a run for her money. Sabre is usually really prissy but sometimes she's really lovey too. Bandit can finally walk past her without thinking she's going to kill him.
And those are our animals! They bring so much joy to our house and we truly treat them so well. They're brushed, groomed, nails trimmed, toys purchased, only the best food that costs way too much money spoiled. If we had enough space and money, I suspect we'd have even more animals.
:Blog:
We don't have pets..our 3 floor condo just doesn't seem like a good place for animals. BUT, our dream dog is a Bernese Mountain Dog. I want one so bad
(
Here's our pug! He just turned one this past Sunday and he is the sweetest dog ever. He is small for a pug and right now weighs about 18lbs. He loves to play fetch, go on walks and cuddle when he is sleepy. He will also climb right up on my shoulder when he wants to be held. I don't think we can imagine our life without him anymore.
This is our guinea pig Mojito ("Moji"). He is a hairless albino guinea pig and we got him as a wedding present to each other.
Here's our little baby, Lola! She just turned 1 in January. She's a 7lb. long haired chihuahua. We treat her like a human baby:)
She's super sweet and friendly with people and other dogs. She's a cuddler (in fact she's sitting on my lap as I type this!) She loves to play and can be fiesty too:) She has a lot of personality for a tiny dog.
Here she is a few days after we got her!
This was a few days ago. She feels very beautiful in her spring polo!
<a href="http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h205/adia83/?action=view
However, he is the sweetest, gentlest dog you will ever meet, and he is so good with Ellie. We love him and we wouldn't trade him for anything. He is the best dog.
This is my Marcus who was featured on Cats 101 last year. I guess the episode was on again this past weekend, b/c I got several random messages on FB from strangers on Monday. He's about 13yo. He has had a lot of medical problems stemming from his diabetes (7 yrs!), but he just keeps going. He's very clingy and hates to be alone.
This is BB (Butterball). She's about 13-14 yrs. H has had her for about 11 yrs. She is a big girl and is not very social. She hates Marcus and b/c of that we keep them seperated when we are not home to referee.
This is a recent pic of them together. This was a HUGE deal in our home. They've been sleeping together on 1 couch w/o incident for the past couple of weeks. In this pic she's not too happy about the situation.
This is Meg!
She is the biggest dork! She's very sweet, loves to cuddle, doesn't scratch or bite and has the weirdest non-meow. It's kinda like she's saying "meh". She's 14 years old and spends all her time cleaning herself - he fur is super super shiny :-)
| cute shoes make me happy |
Olive is below, she's about 7 months in that picture. I haven't uploaded her pics onto FB in a while so I don't have other ones. We adopted her from our local humane society and she was labeled an Australian Shepherd mix but of her whole litter, she's the only black one! Her litter mates were all typical Aussie colored.
She just turned one Jan 31. She's shy and scared around dogs bigger than her so we've been going to the dog park to try and get used to it. We just finished her first training class in December and she got an AKC Star Puppy certification so we're going for the canine good citizen one next. She's so smart and loves people and small dogs.

Sage is a shepherd hound mix that we adopted from our vet back in October 2008.
Sage and Nora cuddling
Nora Bear - This is her at 8 weeks when we first got her:
She loves to eat asparagus!
She loved cuddling with Alex when he was still in my belly
She also likes to climb onto Joel's head:
This is Gyro, he is a bit of a jerk but can be quite cuddly when he wants to be. He also is impossible to photograph so this is the best I have at the moment:
Pansy is almost 4, she's a tiny Himalayan we've had since she was 6 months old. She's the sweetest little thing! She sleeps with me and except during her mid-day nap, she's *always* with me when I'm home. She's a great little friend.
Gotta be honest with y'all -
It makes me kinda sad to see that so many people have such young animals.
This is why the shelters are filled to the brim with older animals or animals with medical issues.
Our cats are young but they were actually the neediest when we got them. Tandi is obviously very needy.
Here are our girls....
Morgan is a 17 month old Yorkie-Westie (my princess):
At 8 weeks old...
At her first vet visit...
At her first photo shoot (we did this photo shoot with a professional photographer through our vet and all money went to the local shelter):
Emily is a 14 month old Shih Tzu-Westie (my DH's baby):
At 8 weeks old...
At her first vet visit...
At her first photo shoot...
And a cartoon we had done of them...this was the first draft so that we could have a painting done as well...
