Storing Ribbon

Hi gals, I know I have seen several posts in the past about ways to neatly store gift wrap and ribbon. Can anyone share a good idea for ribbon storage? Thank you!

Re: Storing Ribbon

  • I saw a great idea in a Real Simple magazine.  Buy one of those cheap plastic shoe containers you see at the dollar store or Target for about a dollar.  Buy some thin dowel rods (spelling??) . Drill a hole in the side of the container the size of the rod and put it through one side of the container, put the ribbon on the dowel and then put it through the other side. I'd put something on each side so the rod doesn't fall out.  Then you can still spin the ribbon to get what you want! Hope that helps!

  • Better Homes and Gardens had a page in the January issue, I think.  It was a wire over-the-door rack with adjustable shelves.  It had a feature similar to what PhillyGal mentioned where the rod fed through the spools.  I can't find it on their website, but I still have the magazine next to my bed, so I'll check it later.

Other than that, I got a ton of hits on Google with "over the door gift wrap organizer".  http://www.amazon.com/Jokari-05070-Hanging-Gift-Wrap-Organizer/dp/B0001Z8SB2
