I have 4 things to say

1. I've already reached bronze status with this new sn. Is this concerning? Embarrassing? Perhaps. But DH has been traveling every other week, and he's also working on the last class of his MBA at night. So I usually don't have much to do other than hang around on TN/TB.

2. I mixed myself a drink last night (Pineapple rum, Coconut rum, and orange juice) and it's so delicious and tastes like summer. DH just mixed me one now that DS is in bed. This will be the 2nd night in a row I'm drinking and nesting/bumping. Bad, bad, bad. Find me in an hour, maybe I'll be on #2 and with my very low post-pregnancy tolerance, I might be a lot of fun Angel

3. I'm taking my old SN out of my siggy now since I'm pretty sure you ladies all know who I am, and on the bigger boards, I'm never really in the "clique", so it doesn't matter anyway!

4. DS's GI told me to put a tiny bit of rice cereal in his very last bottle before bed every night. She thinks it will help his reflux. She actually gave me the option of either medicating him or the rice cereal. I didn't want any "solids" until 6 months, but I think it's better than medicating the kid twice a day. So I gave it to him tonight. He didn't notice or care.

That is all!

Re: I have 4 things to say

  • 1. Nah, post away!

    2. The drink sounds fabulous. I had about 3 oz of my giant glass of red wine on one of our first date nights, looked at DH and blurted, "Oh my god, I'm drunk!" so loud the bartender heard me. LOL

    3. Okay!

    4. A lot of AR babies do well with cereal to help! I would have chosen the cereal route over meds anyday.

  • 2. It's kind of fun to get a buzz off one drink. But apparently I have a knack for starting bump drama when I drink and post. Oh well. I haven't caused any problems tonight, so I think I'll move on to a second drink! Hehe

    4. I thought so too. But I thought he would like it, or taste the difference, but he didn't. Oh well!

    5. I sent you an email!

  • LOL at both of you and your drinking mommy stories, love it!

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

I'm not a big drinker in general. I usually only drink when I'm specifically out with someone to get drinks or a party/family gathering/holiday etc (with some exceptions.. like today and yesterday, clearly Stick out tongue). So that + pregnancy = I have little to no tolerance.

  • I am a big drinker. When I was at the law firm, I regularly drank a bottle of wine for dinner.

    Yeah.

  • That drink sounds fabulous!  I love coconut rum!

    Yeah.

    Hahahaha Yes
  • I hope I didn't come across as judging, I totally wasn't!  I admit, every once in a while I feel like getting good and sloshed but DH doesn't drink and I think getting drunk alone is probably poor form :)

  • 2. Yummy. I remember my first few drinks after Lil was born.  I swore I could feel it after a sip or 2.  It was bad.  I was never a huge drinker to start with ... a glass of wine or beer with dinner occaisionally ... every now and then I'd have more but it certainly hits faster now.

Not at all! My H also doesn't drink, and I agree it means I drink much less.

    Yeah.

What kind of law firm were you at?  Maybe I should take up drinking more.  It might make it more enjoyable.

The firm covered various areas but I worked in the immigration division.
