Its been 10 days...

Since I had my interview.  I sent my thank you email (yes, I know it was an email, but that was our form of communication prior to the interview as well) the hours after my interview.

I have a friend in the position who tells me they decided to do an internal hire, which I suppose I understand.  Problem is, interviewer told me I would hear with in a week (so 3/18).  Should I send a "just wanted to express my interest, again" email or call it a wash?

Side note: it's for a casual position, so I'm still working my job and going to school.  It is a position to get some good experience, but my monthly paycheck isn't riding on getting the job.

  • I'd send an e-mail asking the status of the position. They'll likely tell you it's filled, if they say anything at all.
