I'm hosting = picking the book for my book club in May. I need to pick a book ASAP.
HELP.
Re: Help me pick a book
I just finished "Never Let Me Go." It was ok; the narrator bugged me a little, but I think it is a slightly dystopic way of saying how we should always find pleasure in the now.
OR:
This is a slightly tougher read in the way of Thoreau, but I really took a lot from "Pilgrim at Tinker Creek" by Annie Dillard (Non-Fiction). And pretty much anything by Joan Didion (I believe she is mostly non-fiction as well.)
Love it!
And I like Poop.

This reminds me of a link my friend just emailed me for some reason. I am totally getting him this book! If you read the link, skip to the part with directions on how to poop at work, funny!
Room by Emma Donoghue? Seems like a good one for a book club.
ETA: I just read it, I liked it
How about that one? (The Help)
My silly Lily is almost 4.
I heard this one is a GREAT read.

Here are some of my favorite books that we have read in my book club-
The Help
The Other Boleyn Girl
Cleopatra's Daughter (looved this one)
Are You There Vodka, It's Me, Chelsea
Sunday's at Tiffany's
The first three are historical fiction which we all really got into for awhile there, and i am still loving. Are You There Vodka is Chelsea Handler and it's raunchy and funny, and Sunday's at Tiffany's is reallly cute -by James Patterson and it's about a girl and her imaginary friend.
Read it. It is a great book.

I have this book on my Swap want list. It looks like something I'd like. Glad to hear it was good!
These look very interesting! How "scary" are they? I like psychological mystery books, but they can't be too scary.
Did you read her other one, The Faithful Place? That one looks really good too, and maybe less scary.
I also already had House Rules on my Swap want list. Jodi Picoult is my favorite.
I really liked that one too. But my friend who I trade books with couldn't get through it (and I think she was reading it for a book club).
