Just did Day 1 of C25K and downloaded and AWESOME app that made it so easy. It's called C25K and has a green circle logo (there were a couple but this was the best rated) and it calculates everything for you based on which workout you're on so it just does a little chime noise and says "walk" or "run" every time you need to switch it up. Plus, it pulls in your playlist from your iPod on your iPhone OR you can play Pandora simultaneously.
I have reached a weight that I've NEVER been in my life (I think largely contributed to going off the pill) and it's been quite a wollap to my self-esteem. It's spring break at school right now so I decided to venture to the gym (that I can use for free but haven't really... stupid) and LOVED the workout. Plus I went with a friend of mine that usually works out with a trainer so she showed me the machines in the gym that I didn't even know about!
Then I had a veggie burger for lunch.
I'm back on the Fit Chicks wagon ladies!
Re: Working on #12... holy crap I feel great
I gained weight when I went off the pill too.
You're awesome Darcie!
This!!
Totally impressed with you!
I downloaded a podcast to coach me through C25K, then found out I was pg (and couldn't increase my exercise levels that much). Maybe someday I'll get around to doing it myself.
My Wedding Bio! Not updated in a LONG time!
Good job, Darcie!
I also hit the dreaded "OMG!" when I was on the scale at the end of last year. I bought my DH p90x for Christmas and promptly returned it when he said he'd never use it. Then I found a 24 hour gym with classes and we joined that instead. I've been going at least 3 times a week since we joined and have been going 6 days a week for the last few weeks. It's such an awesome motivator when I see all my food tracking and working out has started to pay off. About a week ago my sister told me that I had to try on my wedding dress because that is the goal "outfit" to fit in to as a start (I had already started to gain weight by then, so was heavier than I was when we started dating.). Fortunately, I got it on, but it was tight and there was definitely no moving or breathing involved. But I'm determined to be as fit as I can be before we seriously consider having kiddos.
YAY for the fit club!
