How to kill ants near herbs/mint
I'm brand new to this gardening thing, and I haven't googled yet - but do any of you have any ideas on how to get rid of ants? I obviously don't want to use pesticide since we will be eating this stuff - any help appreciated!!
Re: How to kill ants near herbs/mint
They supposedly don't like lavender -- maybe add a plant to your herb bed?
If they're not fire ants I'd just let them be.
"The meek shall inherit the earth" isn't about children. It's about deer. We're all going to get messed the fuckup by a bunch of cloned super-deer.- samfish2bcrab
Sometimes I wonder if scientists have never seen a sci-fi movie before. "Oh yes, let's create a super species of deer. NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG." I wonder if State Farm offers a Zombie Deer Attack policy. -CaliopeSpidrman
I was just afraid they would eat the plants - if they're not going to hurt them I will let them be!
We were thinking about planting some lavender anyway, now I just have another good reason to do so.
Thank you!
Lurker here.
Boric acid. Mix boric acid with coco powder sugar and water for a paste. spread it on near the ants. The ants bring it back to the nest and eat it and feed it to the queen. Or mix it with sugar water and soak cotton balls in it.
