Dentist recs?
I'm looking for a dentist, but my "want" list is pretty specific. I honestly don't even know how/where to start looking, so I figured I'd try asking you lovely ladies.
So I'm looking for a dentist who....
- Is open late and/or on weekends
- Has options other than novocaine (gas, whatever)
- Is preferably in/near the South end (S. Toledo, Maumee, P-burg, etc.)
- Is really nice, and patient with people who hate the dentist, haha
Any recs? Or at least ideas on how to find someone?
And just to explain... I refuse to go to the dentist my family goes to because that's who I've gone to in the past and who has made me haaaaate the dentist. And I won't go to the dentist DH & his family go to because he has limited hours that just wouldn't work for me. So that's why I'm not sure how to find someone.

I LOVE my dentist (and I have similar wants...) BUT, he's on the west end... On Secor, near Sylvania... They're open later a few days a week (until like 8:00, I think). I love their office - it's nice and the staff are SO friendly and all of their equipment is up-to-date/newer.
H loves them, too, and he hates going to the dentist. I know it's far away from us, but I always just go after work because it's not far from work.
It's Drs. Howard, Nicholas and Baburek (H and I see Dr. Nicholas) and their number is (419) 475-3494. They're at 4154 Secor Rd., pretty much across the street from Toledo Clinic/St. Anne's.
I had a filling done in Nov. with a laser, which did not require me getting numbed up. I was done in 20 min, amazing. The doc was so excited to use the laser, too funny. And he thanks me for coming in for appts
DH switched to my dentist from Cary Dunne DDS, b/c the last 3 appts he had w/them they called him to reschedule. This is after he had scheduled the appt 6 MONTHS in advance. A relative has gone to Dental Group West at Central/Reynolds and I haven't heard her complain.
My favorite dentist by far is also Dental Health & Associates. They are in Swanton, on Airport Hwy. I know it's not South Toledo but I really like them.

I have gone there for over 20 years. I loveeeeee them!!!
I just recently had an issue with a tooth after a filling, they were so great. It ended up that I needed a root canal and I called at like 6 p.m. one night to make an appointment the next day because after being there in the morning the same day and having them adjust the filling I still had major pain, they said come in right now and we will get you out of pain. That was awesome of them, they did a root canal that night.
Also, I love Dr. Baburek, I see him now ever since he started. He is younger, very friendly, funny. And an OSU fan!! LOL

I go to Dr. Hebeka at http://www.bgdentistry.com/ Dr. Hebeka is great, but they don't work weekends and they have limited evening hours so it might not be a good fit, but I do really like them ;-)
