Last night, DH, DS and I just spent some quality time together. With all that's been going on - getting ready for the baby and his migraines, we've been simply getting by this past month. DH had his EEG test yesterday and we had planned to head to the hospital for a tour, go to Toys R Us with R and then out to eat. The hospital didn't happen, but that's alright. R was an ANGEL at TRU and at Olive Garden. It was great.
I didn't think twice about my unfinished paper or presentation for class tonight - not even after I came home. I'll get it done for next week - I had already let my professor know what's been going on.
Dinner was delicious! And if you head to Olive Garden, you totally need to save room for dessert! DH got his old standby - tiramisu, but I decided to try something new. I don't remember what they're called, but they're these warm doughnuts that you dip in chocolate sauce - they're AHHHHH-MAZING! They spinkle some vanilla sugar on top and they're so warm and mushy.
And...as a f/u to DH's migraines - they're not gone, they probably never will be completely and he's still going through tests. The neurologist can't finish the testing until this cluster of migraines stops. So, he's going back at the end of April and hopefully can finish the EEG and complete an MRI.
There is damage to his optical nerve and possibly some marks/white masses on his brain, but we won't the extent of everything until after the MRI.
In the meantime, the doctor switched him off of Strattera and onto Adderal for his AD/HD, which DH has already noticed a difference with (he just started it yesterday). He's taking a cocktail of other stuff right now, but I can tell in his voice yesterday and today that he's starting to feel more like himself again.
So, keep the thoughts and prayers coming because we aren't through this yet, but we can see some light at the end of the tunnel. And, while the end results may not be perfect, hopefully the doctor can slow the damage the is being done.
Re: family time! (and f/u to DH's migraines)
Yay for family time!! Thoughts & prayers will continue, I really hope they're able to get this all figured out!!
Good to hear he's coming around slowly and that sounds like a great family time!
