PG question

To all the lovely Mom's out there. How soon in your pregnancies did you experience morning or evening sickness?

Re: PG question

  • 7 wks or so. I rarely had any symptoms at all that weren't typical of any end of a cycle until at least 7wks.

  • 6 weeks on the dot!
  • I never really had it, but I had nausea at around 6/7wks. So you think you are??
  • With dd1, it was 6ish weeks. With dd2, the minute she was conceived? Lol! Really, it was almost immediate the second time. I also felt really lightheaded and almost passed out several times. The second time was much worse.

  • 6 weeks, day/night didnt matter lasted until 18 weeks, then it died down.
  • The heightened sense of smell started at about 5 weeks, but it didn't really bother me too much until 6 weeks or so. I never had bad morning sickness though, just queasiness for a few weeks. I thought it was a cruel irony that I made it through my pregnancy and never threw up until labor!

  • Um...moment of conception? Ha! J/K- probably 5 weeks... and it.was.awful. Til 2nd tri- then I got some relief.

  • It was probably around 4 weeks, but since they've changed my date and we weren't really sure to begin with, I don't know if that's right. It lasted about 2.5 months.

I only threw up a few times, but I was naseous quite a bit.

  • I never really had any.  Made me paranoid for no reason.

  • 5-6 weeks both times.  Last time, it ended around 12 weeks, and that is what I am hoping for right now!!  Symptoms:  tired, extremely nauseous (all the time unless I am eating) and the heightened sense of smell (which goes with #2 above!)

  • Oh boy wrong question to ask this mama! :) With Ella I started getting sick at about 6 weeks and it lasted until about 22 weeks but it wasn't awful. I just threw up a few times a day and was nauseous all the time but greasy foods helped!

With Brody...I had pretty bad hyperemesis and I SWEAR I started getting sick upon conception lol! I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks 4 days and the reason I took a test is because I had been horribly nauseous and thrown up the previous four days in a row. I thought I either had a really bad flu or was pregnant! I know it sounds crazy that I was sick that early but after doing some research that can be a sign of hyperemesis. I was throwing up multiple times a day by 5 weeks and got a script for Zofran. By 8 weeks I had been to the hospital twice for IV fluids. PICC line was put in at 11 weeks and I was on IV fluids/meds for the next 3.5 months!

Don't worry- that is a rare and crazy situation and I just suck at being pregnant so am clearly NOT the norm! :)
