American Idol, anyone? (spoiler)
Okay, so normally I just watch the preliminary episodes with the auditions because it's a guilty pleasure and makes me laugh, but it's still on my DVR and I've been skimming through episodes to stay up to date... Who is anyone rooting for?
I really like Casey, Paul, Scotty, and Lauren Alaina. I think the guys are much stronger this year...
I totally felt like last night's results came out of nowhere... But I'm glad they used the save!

Me me! I'm more into it now that I'm abroad than I ever was in the states. Well, besides that time I auditioned.
I think talent-wise, Pia is head and shoulders above everyone, but she needs to switch it up a little. I love Casey and I like Paul in a "your teeth are way too white but you have a cool voice" kind of way.
I almost shed a tear during the whole save portion of the results show. Srrrsly.
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
I agree with you about Pia, but she bores me a bit... If she'd switch it up, I'd be on board.
TOTALLY agree about the white teeth thing for Paul... and his awkwardness dancing around totally makes me have a nerd crush on him. I *really* liked it when he sang Maggie May.
I knew they'd save Casey if it was him. Josh was freaking. My husband is WAY too emotional about trash TV. (Watching the bachelor with him is painful.) Also, he'd kill me for outing his addiction. Ha.
Yeah I'm with you on pretty much everything there - Paul can just sing Rod Stewart forever and it would be perfect.
I think I shared the audition story way back when... it was the season when David Cook won. The audition was about 13 hours of absolute hell and a building full of crazies, you have to get through about 4 rounds before you get to the actual judges, the first being singing in front of one of about 15 "judges" in a row. You get cut off after about 15 seconds with no explanation and just sent away. It's pretty sad actually, I'm surprised I still enjoy the show, but I appreciate the talent too much not too. Plus all other TV sucks here.

Me too! AI has been a guilty pleasure for me since season 2. I am not overly impressed with the talent this year, but I do agree the guys are much better. I am rooting for Paul and Casey. I was on board with Scotty, but the way he holds the microphone makes me really uncomfortable.
I did get a little teary-eyed when they saved Casey. I also looked away because I seriously thought he was going to puke all over Ryan.
Dude. One hundred percent with you on this one. Also they way he tries to hit high notes by shaking his head around. He does have a really cool voice though, if you like country.

I feel like Scotty had a stroke at one point of time, since he only sings out of one side of his mouth.
I do love Casey and Paul. I'm really lukewarm on the the ladies this season.
