After spending some time on MM this morning, what type of credit cards do you have?
Re: Credit Cards
I used to have a Kroger Mastercard when I lived in OH and IN, it gave me great rewards in the forms of checks to Kroger for groceries and for every 100 points earned I got $.10 off at their gas pump. It was 3pts/dollar spent at kroger and 1 pt/dollar everywhere else. (I still have this card, just don't use it)
Now I have a Chase Freedom Rewards Visa CC, which I love, I can either get credit to my statement, cash back or gift cards. The gift cards at the best deal, so I usually redeem for them. Also, you can sign up for the bonus periods where you earn 5% more points on select things (some quarters it's gas, some it's grocery, etc.)
I love using CC's because there's no fee, I pay off the bill every month and end up getting rewards.

I have a capital one card that I have had since I was 18. Don't use it, but no reason to cancel it. We have a VISA through bank of amercia, that has a fair points program. We also have a Master card and only applied for it because UNF was not accepting VISA at the time (WTF?). I recently opened a Pottery Barn card, for their reward system.
We use our BOA card a lot to accrue points and pay it off at the end of the month.
"My 101 List - Updating asap, I swear!
Discover
American Express
Capital One
USAA Mastercard
Navy Federal Mastercard
Citibank Mastercard
Debit cards attached to each of our 3 bank accounts
I also have store cards at:
Victoria's Secret
Kohls
Macys
NY & Co
Lowes
I do have to say that I have a lot of cards but most of them have a zero balance on them.
Chase Freedom - great rewards and no annual fee
Chase Disney - I just like to have it and to use it for all things Disney
Citi American Airlines AmEx - sometimes AmEx has some pluses that I like, for example being able to use it at Costco for miles
Kohl's and Banana for the extra sales rewards
I have more but these are the ones I primarily use
I have a BOA Visa, a CitiCard, and a Capital One card that I've had since I was 18 and never use.
DH has an American Express Blue and a Chase.
We're planning to use our tax returns to pay off my BOA and CitiCards since they have the two highest interest rates. We're just waiting until we hear more about the house in case we end up needing the money for closing, etc.
