I know I haven't been around as much as I would like to lately since things have been so crazy over here... And I have been a little down because we've had so much thrown at us, but we finally got some really GREAT news today. As you could read from the title Andrew had his second eval. with Early Intervention today and will only be needing speech therapy (which we knew), but won't need occupational therapy. When he had his first eval. last week, the two evaluators were really hard on him and made it seem like he had so many issues, besides speech, and that he was really far behind. They had started it at 2:00, right when he starts to get really tired. So when they were trying to work with him he was hyper and punchy because he was so tired and I think that had a lot to do with his poor eval. Anyway, the OT girl today was much nicer and said that he is fine with both his fine and gross motor skills. So he will start speech therapy next week and hopefully he will be talking very soon. He is a very smart boy and I know that once he gets started there will be no stopping him : )

Re: Andrew doesn't need OT!
Yay Andrew. I would get ticked off too if someone was trying to give me tests while I was tired
So glad to hear this.
