seriously freakin suuuck. I was in pain for days, and had no idea what was going on. J kept making me think it was my appendix, I thought it was my cervix. I left work early last night (if you can call 11pm early when you've been there since 9am) and went to the ER. After a sonogram to rule out cysts (bc the resident apparently thought my ovaries were directly below my bellybutton) a CAT scan, and urine tests, they determined it was "only" a UTI. So I'm home, begrudgingly taking antibiotics with cranberry juice.. And the jerks didn't even give me any pain meds to fill. They gave me something for IBS. Um, I'm no doctor here, but how does an infection in in bladder, urinary tracts and kidneys (yeah, it spread) have anything to do with pooping? They gave me a lovely codine last night, and they told me to take Motrin today. Well, to hell with Motrin! It doesn't do anything.. and neither does this bowel junk.
Re: UTIs...
Ditto! I had one that went undetected when I was 20 and turned into a kidney infection. Worst pain everrrrrr. Totally up there with labor and delivery! I also take cranberry pills every day and haven't had one since.
I had one once too. I had a yeast infection that turned into a UTI that turned into a bladder infection that hit my kidneys. I remember waking my mother in tears and rushing to the ER. About a week ago I had an episode that hit, and I thought I had a UTI, but I never got another symptom, so I chalked the urgency up to a one time thing.. and now this. I've finished off a gallon of cranberry juice already, and I think it's helping. i'll look into the pills to take! I never thought of (or heard of) them before.
