Purse Guts (I have no clever title) (PIP)

I almost forgot it was my turn to show off my purse this week! Here's the goods:

I just got this at Gordmans. I love all things leopard print!

Close up of what looks like a random blob in that picture. It's really a little embellishment in the shape of a heart:

Here's what's in it:

1. Altoids. Always Cinnamon, never any other flavor. I don't like any of the other kinds, except the chocolate-covered ones, and I worry that they'll melt in my purse.

2. My glasses case with a spare pair of glasses inside. I define "blind" without them, so I'm never without a backup.

3. My nook, with

4. The clip-on book light I use because the screen on the nook doesn't have a backlight.

5. A lighter. Like Jena, I don't smoke, but I find it comes in handy on occasion. I mainly use it for melting eyeliner tips and lighting candles.

6. My wallet. The inside is hot pink. I should have taken a picture of that too.

7. A little packet that holds an emergency pad and a couple of tampons.

8. A notebook and pen for writing things down when I need it.

9. My emergency kit/makeup bag. (Contents further down).

10. My mp3 player.

My cell phone is usually in there too, but I used it to take pics, so I couldn't take a pic of it.

This is the lining. It's super cute, and the whole reason I bought the bag in the first place!

...and here's what I carry inside:

1. Pacifica solid perfumes in Tuscan Blood Orange and Hawaiian Ruby Grapefruit. I love to blend the two for my own signature scent, and the solid form ensures I won't spill them in my bag. You may have noticed I'm a bit paranoid about spilling things in my bag.

2. Rosebud Salve. I swear by this stuff. It makes a great lip balm AND lotion in a pinch. I've even used it as molding wax for my hair once or twice.

3. Small mending kit with safety pins and buttons.

4. A hair tie, in black so it matches whatever I or my daughters might happen to be wearing.

5. Dior lip gloss. This color goes with everything, and it's the only kind that stays on my lips for more than 2 minutes.

6. An extra emergency tampon. You may be asking why I carry so many. To that, I reply "I have 3 teenage girls." Need I say more?

7. The delightfully tacky hand mirror that my daughter Hannah brought me back from her trip to Europe.

...and Jethro, who doesn't fit in my purse, but thinks he needs to be in the middle of EVERYTHING.

So that's it...kinda boring, I know. Sorry for that!

Very cute and really organized just like the other girls. I swear, I feel like I need to clean/organize my purse before I take my pics lol but I'll keep it real and just dump out the horrible mess that's in there. I actually think your Paris mirror is cute lol. Your kitty is adorable by the way. I may have to kitty-nap him.

Yay! I love it.

I also worry about things breaking and spilling. I broke a glass perfume vial in my apron at work once Smelly. Good smelly, but smelly. I tried a knock-off solid perfume after that which smelled like old lady butt (ordered it online). The same seller does a decent roll on of the knock off, but it's also glass, and I broke it at work (dropped it on the floor at least, and not all over my crotch area :P).

I probably should have done my work bag in addition to my purse... THAT'S where I carry all the weird extra stuff. I'm "that girl" they come to for ibuprofen, lotion, tampons, etc. And I don't even use tampons.

Anyhow, I can SO see you as a leopard lady
