I'm using the new WW plan (online only, about $18/month) and when I stick to it, I lose very consistently. I like it better than the old plan because I don't feel hungry most of the time. My goal is 130/135 and I started at 157 (currently down to 149). Obviously that's more than 10/15 pounds to lose but I could easily stop at 10/15 and still be in a very healthy weight range. 130/135 is just a personal preference. Not sure if you'll find this information useful at all but I figured I'd share since you mentioned it in the other thread.
Re: **LB** s/o FFFC
Yeah, I do actually! This is really helpful. How long have you been doing PointsPlus?
I tried to do WW online only right before the switch to PP, but I just couldn't stick with it. I'm horrible when I'm only accountable to myself and don't have to weigh in in front of people. I know I can maintain a weight. It's the losing it that blows. So if I can do WW meetings for a few months and lose, I'd be thrilled.
We have a bunch of plans this weekend, I'm starting the new job on Monday then we have a wedding the next weekend, but maybe I'll join again the first week in April...
I started January 31st but I had trouble staying on track because we had a lot going on after that. This is how my weeks have gone:
Week 1: 156.8 (starting weight)
Week 2: 156.4
Week 3: 153.2
Week 4: 154.2
Week 5: 150.4
Week 6: 153
Week 7: 153.2
Week 8: 150
I weight in on Mondays and I'm on track to lose another 2 pounds this week if I don't fall of the wagon this weekend.
You can see that I fluctuated up and down a bit but I can honestly say that the weeks I gained or maintained I really didn't stick with the plan because of weddings, etc.
ETA: I suck at accountability too so if you don't want to spend the extra money to go to meetings/weigh-ins maybe we can hold each other accountable somehow? I'm already thinking about how I better not cheat this weekend so I lost the 2 pounds that I claim I"m going to lose above.
I think I'm going to do the meetings just so I don't postpone losing this last bit of weight any longer, but I'll do a weigh in here with you on Tuesdays (I think that's the day I'm going to go to meetings). I have no shame.
I'm starting at almost exactly your starting weight, but this is down from 184 a year ago.
The meetings are definitely a good idea. I just can't justify the expense right now. I'd love to do a Tuesday weigh-in though. It would definitely help keep me accountable.
The plan works in general. I've mentioned before that I was 170 in high school the first time I used WWs and got down to 120 (I was 16). I'll never be that tiny again (I'd look gross) but I know I can get back down to a weight I'm comfortable with and I'm sure you can do the same.
Okay then! Tuesday April 5th will be the first weigh in.
Anyone else reading is welcome to join. Weight or just weight loss. Or just how your week went. I know a bunch of us are trying to lose weight.
Yeah. My DH is always really supportive but he's gotten to the point where he knows I don't appreciate being enabled so he tries to focus on positive/healthy behavior. He's actually the reason I started going to the gym. He goes regularly and kept asking me to go with but I always had an excuse (I needed sneakers, I didn't have real gym clothes, etc.). Finally one day I said something about the sneakers and clothes and he made me get dressed, drove me to the store, and we bought sneakers and gym clothes. I've been going ever since.
I was mad at the time but I really appreciate him pushing me now. He doesn't care if I lose weight, but he's not going to let me complain about being fat and then eat like crap and sit on my butt all day. He got sick of hearing about it and to be honest, he was right. I can't complain if I'm not willing to do anything about it.
Me too! I really need some accountability.
So does my H....
I use myfitnesspal too! We should be fitnesspal friends. I dont really know how to do that though... lol
