DH just found out he did not get a really great job, AGAIN. This is so fuucking depressing and draining.

I know the little bit of money is probably nice, but can he intern w/a really great company? When I quit my sales job I refused to sit around the house and wanted to make good use of my time. I did some volunteer/intern type marketing projects and that's how I got the contact for the guys work for now. It's a really tough market out there & I honestly think I might still be unemployed if I hadn't taken that extra step to get myself out there.
I'm so sorry. I know how stressful it can be.
Along these same lines, are there any additional licenses or certifications he can pursue with his time off? I have no idea about the industry he's in, but I ended up getting a higher insurance license with time off that is pretty difficult to get. Or at least it's difficult to pass the exam. It would have been even harder to study if I was actually working a FT job. Having the license contributed to me getting a big pay jump from my last job in addition to just getting a job.
Just trying to throw out ideas. I hope this doesn't come off as lecturey because I don't mean it that way.
No not taking anything you say as offensive. It's extremely difficult to find an internship in his field for a graduate, he did briefly talk about getting his contractors license.
I'm going to give him a few days to be pissed off (if I say anything to him right now it will not be received well) and then we need to have a Come to Jesus talk about what he's going to do to further his career and/or contribute to the household.
