Almost there!

We're almost to Austin! Wednesday is our move in date, and it's hard to believe it's come up this quick!! I kind of had a spaz moment not too long ago when I looked at the calendar and realized it was SO soon! I've pretty much got everything packed up, except a few items of clothing, a few kitchen items we've been using, and electronics that we'd be using right up to. I'm feeling pretty good, and less stressed, about this move compared to others. This is actually the shortest move we've had, "only" 4 hours away! The longest being 3000 miles, haha (twice!!).

These next few days are going to be hectic, I know (Sunday- pretty much finishing the rest of packing and packing, Dinner/party with some friends for our "see ya later San Angelo" shindig; Monday- whatever cleaning needs to be done or can be completed around the boxes, pick up my mom from the airport 2 hours away; Tuesday- packing in the morning, hubby cleaning carpet, mom and I going to visit hubby's grandparents; Wednesday- walk through for apartment, then driving 4 hours to Austin!!).

I feel relaxed as of right now.. I don't necessarily feel like "oh crap, moving", but more like I know we're going where we should be/need to be.

Whew! Random babble! Looking forward to hopefully meeting some awesome people out in Austin! :]

  • what (general) area did you guys decide to move?  north, south, central???
  • Yay!  That's so exciting.  As someone who lived in the Abilene area for years, I can assure you that Austin is a million times better.  You're going to love it!

Oh yeah, we're loving it already!! It's an adjustment (from San Angelo) with the number of people and traffic, but being from Southern California originally, it shouldn't be too bad.

Yes! Now that  it's done, it seemed like a pretty smooth transition, and we're loving Austin so far!!
