Jesus Pesus! I feel like I'm never here. I promise I lurk on my phone when I get stuck by a train on my way to and from work! I just can't figure out how to post from it.
Last week has been super busy. We had the benefit. I don't know the exact dollar total because there was many sealed envelopes, and that went to the family, but the ones that weren't sealed added up to almost $13,000! We found out he passed away from a blood clot in his lungs, he was in Nicaragua helping build schools for charity. However we raised enough for him to be brought home ( can you believe it's over $10,000 to get a body home from there!) and to pay for part of the wake/funeral.
The wake was Thursday night, which I attended with my sister. It was a very hard thing to go to, but he is at peace and that's what matters, right? My sister decided not to go to his funeral Friday, which is fine. I am not sure if she would have made it through that. It's been very hard on everyone, and she is really taking this very hard. I'm to the point where I don't know what to say or what to do for her. What makes it worse, today would have been their one year anniversary.
To top it all off, my dad had hip replacement surgery Thursday. He came home yesterday (I know only 2 days in the hospital... crazy) And it's been stressful. There is no chair that is tall enough for him, the raised toliet seat we got is to small, he's draining like crazy. The nurse came to see him today and said the drainage is normal and since he's on coumadin it's going to drain like crazy. it's just so much. At this point I wish he would have stayed a few more days, but what can you do! Gotta love healthcare today!
Anyways, hope all is well with everyone. Maybe one day I will become a "regular" again. It's just been super crazy lately. I'm telling you 2011 sucks. It was supposed to be a "better" year! However I'm up to 10.8 pounds gone forever on WW, in 4 weeks. Woot Woot!

Glad your dad's surger went well and he is home. Hopefully his recovery will be speedy.
And YAY! for over 10 pounds on WW. That's fantastic. Keep it up.
I hope that your sister can reach some peace with this situation. I'm sure that it helps to have so much support from her family and friends.
I hope that your dad feels better soon!!

I'm so proud of you on the weight loss!
GEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Hi. Hugs. Congrats.
Welcome to the dark side
I can't believe he's home after 2 days! My mom was in the hospital, then rehab, for what seemed like forever -- maybe 2 weeks?
What a tough week. {{hugs}}
