Say a single chick (ie ME!) was going to Napa for 2 nights all alone (for a lot of self relfection/soul searching/independence getting) what would be some things to do? I was contemplating Monterey/Carmel but realized I've been there so many times before that I need to step out of my comfort zone and I've always wanted to visit Napa - I'll more than likely be staying at the Westin (hey, I said it's all about ME!) so what are some things that I could do and places I could go?
TIA, Mel
Re: XP: Napa Rec's
I highly recommend the gnocchi for dinner at Uva on Clinton St.
Have you ever been to Castle di Amorosa? The tour is really fun, and the tasting is awesome there too. One of our favorites.
I see you're probably staying at the Westin (good for you!), but for hotels, we also had a really good experience with the River Terrace Inn which had the full jacuzzi tub, views of the river, a great outdoor fire pit at night, and lots of cozy spa options.
Have fun, Mel. So glad to see you taking time for yourself

Go to Mustard's for lunch or dinner-I reccommend the pork chop! Also, go to V.Sattui-The wine is ok, but their deli and snacks are Delish!
And hell, you might as well go to Mumm and celebrate your independence!
Have fun!
Artesa is a really beautiful view and the wine is amazing. And if you're looking to spend big bucks on some very good quality wine, Duckhorn is a great spot too.
For food, Celedon in downtown Napa was my favorite. I also like Cook in St. Helena. And there's a great Cupcakery, Sift, in Napa too.
Btw, I think your trip is a really great idea. I've always wanted to do a trip like that, but I've never had the money to. One day. Hope you have a great time.

We spent a day in Calistoga. Loved that. Nice little downtown with lots of restaurants and some shops to stroll.
Also, don't a lot of places there have hot springs/mud baths/facials, etc.? If you're into that, you could do that.
