I had lunch with my new boss and checked out my office. Both boss and office are awesome! She introduced me to a few people who were all sooo welcoming and friendly! Now that I know what my office space is like, I can definitely start mentally decorating. Plus it's making me feel better about the whole giving my SAHW lifestyle thing.
I promise cell phone pics of the office next week!

I prob missed this but what industry is your position in?
Corporate communications for a three-hospital health system. It's so much reassuring now...that I have a tiny bit of familiarity before I officially report to my office Tuesday following a day and a half orientation. Being the new girl sucks, but today made it not so awful.

I hear you on that one. Working with people that are friendly and welcoming make it so much better! I work with the complete opposite so it can be a challenge between this and being the new girl.

vh, I wondered how the rug worked out! When you get a chance, post a pic!
You guys have far more faith in my decorating abilities than I do! I guess I'm allowed to put nails in the wall. I can't even commit to nail holes in my house, let alone someone else's property! I even have a round table and three roll-y chairs for meetings!! So crazy.
