This story on CBS news tonight brought me to tears...(and DH too...shhhhhh)...and I'm especially proud because this hero is from my hometown, Staten Island, NY. Too often, Staten Island has a bad reputation for it's guidos, tanning, and fist pumping arrogant italian-americans (i can say that because i'm italian) !! It's nice to hear about someone who is doing something selfless for children...amazing....take the time to read this and watch the clip if you can.
Re: An inspirational story
I had to LOL at that comment because I'm half Italian myself and feel the same way about the guidos as you do!
But on another note, that poor little boy. I couldn't even imagine. I think it's great that lady stepped up to help.
There are decent people out there dedicated to helping kids and I think it's wonderful.
