Case of the Mondays!

So last night I tried to sync my Iphone with my Itunes and now my iphone is stuck of the screen that says connect to Itunes. I have tried to restore my phone and it is still stuck on the screen. Any one have any ideas?

Re: Case of the Mondays!

  • I'm no help w/ an iPhone.

I definitely have a case of the Mondays though.  I've had a headache since Thursday...it's really starting to piss me off.  All I wanted to do this morning was stay in bed, but I can't since it's my last week at this location.  I did however dress comfy in my zip up hoody, jeans, and sneakers.  I won't be able to dress like this when my replacement starts :(

  • Sorry, no iPhone help here.  I feel like I've heard of that problem before, though...can you Google it?

My Monday is already super stressful.  My re-test for my qualifiers if next Monday.  Friday I realized that I lost the majority of the presentation I'd made for my quals, through a combo of USB malfunction and user error (I thought I'd been backing it up on my computer, but I was just saving it to the USB drive).  This weekend shiit happened and I didn't get to work on it, so now I'm desperately trying to get it finished before tomorrow, even if it means staying up all night.  I have to give a practice talk to my lab and send the slides to my boss tomorrow, then meet with him to edit by the end of the week.  I also have to meet with someone else about my quals sometime this week, and get everything done by Friday because my in-laws are coming to town this weekend for Jeff's birthday.  Wost.  timing.  ever.  I hinted big time that I'd prefer they not come this weekend, but no luck.  So I also have to find time to clean the apartment, which has gotten way out of hand lately.

Additionally, I got an e-mail this morning reminding me that I have to present at a retreat on April 15th, and submit my abstract by April 8th.  I haven't done ANY work on that project since last year (because my boss sucks and put me on a grant not remotely related to my work, so once a year I have to do a few things and basically lie about what I work on), and I am swamped with stuff for my quals re-test (which is the 4th).  Somehow I have to pull results and an abstract from my azz between the 4th and the 8th, and make a poster by the 15th - incidentally, I also have an exam and a presentation to give that week.  I am so stressed, and I think it's a big reason that I still haven't recovered from this cold/sinus infection.

Sorry for that novel of a rant.  To make up for it, I offer some comedy:  Jeff's parents are trying to plan a trip for MIL's 50th birthday, and she's been shooting down idea after idea because she's neurotic.  For example, they were planning on Hawaii, but now she's freaking out about radiation.  She can't go to Mexico because of the druglord violence.  The latest?  She doesn't want to go to Italy because....

I'm so excited for you! Moving on to a better job is so exciting!

It was soooooo hard to get out of bed this AM. H was cuddling and I was all warm and cozy. The cat was curled up on my hip. And now I'm having such a hard time doing any work. Ugh.

My weekend was okay. The college boys were all ridiculously studious. And healthy. Like seriously, they went to the grocery store and came back with fruits and vegetables, unsweetened fruit juice, whole grain pasta and organic pasta sauce. The guys I hung out with in college would have come back with corn dogs, 3 boxes of freihofer's chocolate chip cookies (PC often has a buy one get 2 free deal) and beer.  After their bike race, they sat around the dining room table and did homework.

    RPI losed. Crying

And I'm already looking forward to this weekend. I need to get my hair cut.

(An unmatched left parenthesis creates an unresolved tension that will stay with you all day.

  • I'm not sure who follows basketball here...I typically don't but my hometown is Richmond and VCU is in the final 4.  The game yesterday was great!  The next game is Sat and we'll be up in Richmond moving me up there and we're planning on going downtown to a pub and watch the game...I'm sure it'll prove to be a lot of fun!

My Mom works at VCU and the game on Friday and yesterday...students marched down broad street (which runs through campus).  This is huge for our city!!!

  • JenO - I ditto (I forget) ... totally jonesing for your new job!!  Can't wait to hear how much awesomer it is than your current hellhole.

I'm such a lazy bum today.  I got up 45 minutes late just because I couldn't drag my butt out of bed.  I was sort of productive this weekend, but right now all I want to do is lay my head down and take a nap.  4 more days of work...

     And this...

  • I follow college basketball!  I was just saying to Jeff yesterday that people in Richmond have got to be psyched - two Richmond teams were in the Sweet 16, they were saying that that hasn't happened (to teams from the same city) in a long time, plus (no offense) no one was expecting either team to do so well.

VCU was a huuuuge upset, but my bracket was already so effed that I was sort of rooting for them anyway.  I mean, all of my other teams lost, might as well cheer for the underdog!

  • I'm no help for the iPhone either. Try google or call tech help. My droid got stuck awhile back and helped with it.

Laura - GL on everything you have to get done. I know how stressful it all is with everything coming due from just a year ago with studying, presentations, clinics and whatnot.

I don't want to be here today. It's the week before the kiddos are out for spring break and I have a million things to do. Plus it's raining and I just want to snuggle under a blanket on the couch and read a book. No such luck. Jeremy's going out of town tonight til Wednesday or Thursday to help out some guys in another town who are behind on their routes so definitely NOT looking forward to being home alone.

It rained all weekend so our plans of cleaning out the front garden bed didn't happen and yesterday I organized all my therapy games and odds & ends that were in the garage. I'll probably organize the office and the "we don't know what to call this room" room while he's gone.

  • I did try and google. I might just have to go to the store or tech support. Thanks everyone!

i certainly didn't expect either team to make it to the sweet 16.  and vcu barely won on friday night so i though yesterdays game was a toss up, but the did super well.  vcu is making school history for themselves...no pressure or anything :p

  • Xtine- Richard had the same problem when he tried syncing his iphone a few weeks back.  He just powered the phone off by pressing the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time.  This will reset the phone.  It should work.  Just an FYI, but he lost all of the apps and contacts he had on his phone.  I hope that's not the case for you.

I'm so freaking tired.  Saturday night we partied hard, I mean harder than we have in a long time.  We were at Richard's cousins' playing drinking games.  We learned TMI about each other, but it was so much fun.  We were up drinking until about 5:00 am.  I'm too old to party like that any more.  Yesterday we slept for most of the day and when we weren't sleeping we were just lounging around the house.

Really?  That bites.  Yeah, if that didn't work I would definately have someone take a look at it.  Hope you get it fixed.

I will probably loss all my contact info (which isn't bad bc I can just bring my BB and have them transfer numbers) the saddest thing is I will loss my Angry Birds and will need to play from the beginning again. This is the saddest part of all:(

I feel your pain and after my phone was synched, I haven't gotten back into it. My BIL did find the code that unlocks all the levels so he kinda took the fun/frustration away from me when he did that.

  • Saturday when I was in NYC I dropped my iphone on a hard tile floor inside a store.  When I went to use it, it said "SIM Card not installed" and wasn't letting me make any phone calls!  I tried turning it off and back on again, but same thing, and I felt like an idiot because I had absolutely no clue where the SIM card was inside the iPhone.  In my old cell phone it was behind the battery in the back, but you obviously can't open the iphone up and take out the battery like that.  I was thinking the worst like, they are going to take my phone and charge me a fortune to do this - what if it's really broken, etc.  Luckily there was an ATT store right up the street from where I was at the time.  I went in and explained what happened and the lady fixed it in like two seconds lol.

    Good luck!!!!
