Financial Planner Recommendations

Does anyone have a good financial planner they trust and would recommend?  Someone who could educate us on investments and life insurance policies?  We have a good friend who is a financial planner that we trust and DH wants to use.  However, I feel odd using him when it comes to such personal things like money.  Any opinion on this?

Re: Financial Planner Recommendations

  • I work with Chris Neston and have been very happy with him.  He doesn't charge by the hour, so he does earn a commission on products he sells, but I've never felt like he's tried to push anything on us.  He was very helpful with determining life insurance needs and helping us set up a Roth IRA.  Here is a link to his website and contact info:

  • We use Brad Moir with Wadell & Reed.  His contact information is 651-452-8050 and bmoir@wradvisors.com.  The Mr. says we don't have a lot of money, but Brad helps us anyway.  He's been in the business since the 80's.
