Back from weekend in Buffalo

I was in Buffalo for the weekend for DH's cousin's wedding.  First I want to share one of the things he wrote in the card as I thought it was funny and that you would appreciate it.  He wrote, "now that you are married people will ask you if it feels different, and you can answer, yes, people keep asking us stupid questions".  A few of the people there that were also at our wedding commented to us that our wedding was better/more fun.

While in town I got to look at our house again.  We are hoping to close mid-April so I wanted to get in there to measure somethings (like we'll need a new stove right away).  I was a bit nervous as there have been some problems that past week, but I'm pretty sure it just comes down to our appraiser being a douche and our underwriter an idiot.  The appraiser found a small puddle of water in the middle of our finished basement and put a contingency that it had to be inspected by a plumber.  First of all the basement doesn't count in sqft as there is no egress so basements get wet from time to time.  Secondly, when we were there, there is no way it has anything to do with plumbing, and you can't even tell there was water anywhere.  I wouldn't even be surprised if the appraiser put the water on the floor so he had an excuse to come back and get paid again.  Anyways the seller is paying for the plumber and the bank and us are trying to fix all of the errors in these two's reports (seriously they even have my name spelled wrong in places, which by far is not the worse of their errors).

I'm just hoping this all get resolved, and doesn't delay our closing.  We also picked out our new stove: http://www.frigidaire.com/products/kitchen/gas-electric-ranges/fggf304dlf It has so many cool features it rocks, plus stainless steel is sexy.

Ha!  I might have to use this one!

Good luck with the house.  We just got ours on March 15th and it's so nice to have all the paperwork done and everything moved in!

  • lol, love the message.

That's a pain w/the house, but I'm sure it will all work out. I love the stove, especially the double oven feature, NICE!

  • The message is hilarious!  So true!

And I LOVE the oven/range you chose!  Can I say I'm jealous???
