Worth it? Not worth it? My mom is thinking of getting one for Owen for his birthday. Keep in mind that Owen is almost 3 feet tall and weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 pounds. Is this too big?
Re: Little Tikes Cozy Coupe
I would go with some kind of toddler bike that has pedals, but can be run with scooting his feet.

side eye to LTs for saying that it is for ages 1.5 - 5. I would bet that 90% of all children have legs that are too long by age 3 (when lots of kids lose the toddler chubbiness and lengthen out). Not to mention that 'typically developing' children 2.5-5 should be developing leg muscles in a different way than the CC offers (e.g. pedaling). http://www.littletikes.com/toys/cozy-coupe-30th-anniversary-edition.aspx
Helen has a Cozy Coupe and I doubt she'll ride it much this summer as it is geared toward younger toddlers. She got a Radio Flyer tricycle last year for her 2nd birthday and she loves it. She still doesn't like to use the pedals -- she just pushes with her toes. Helen is smidge over 36" and 27 lbs.
Thanks, guys...you kind of confirmed what I was thinking. I think my folks are going to get the Fisher Price bike instead (thanks for the link!). There was a little boy in the playground last week riding something like that, and Owen followed him around the whole time.
I'm probably wrong about his weight. I thought he was 34 pounds at his 18 month appt., but I looked last night and it turns out I had his stats backwards -- he was 34 inches, 30 pounds. So he's probably closer to 35.
If he was 40 pounds he would have been almost double the boys weight lol! They are just over 25 now!
We had the crazy coupe last year and the crazy coupe fire truck and I haven't taken them out yet to see how the boys feel about them but I think the fire truck will probably be a bit better for them since its a little larger, even though they loved the car that my mom spent $2 on instead of the one we bought for $69 for their birthday
