**Firefly**

You mentioned that your husband has lost 70lbs since you've been together and I was just wondering what method(s) he used to achieve that.

Re: **Firefly**

  • Hey!

Yeah, he's a rockstar. When we met he was about 275. Now he's hovering between 205 and 210 (at 6'5''). He basically decided to start eating better and exercising :o)

We started menu planning every week so we had 5 healthy meals to choose from quickly instead of choosing take out or making pasta. He's cut down portion size, added a LOT more fruits & veggies.

Then we joined a gym and he started running. When he started, he couldn't run for 5 minutes straight. Now he's running a 10k next week. It was all about starting slow, making sure he was building up and not getting frustrated and honestly, the weight came right off.

Also helping was that he used to travel for work about 75-85% of the time so he was constantly eating out and eating badly. Now that he hasn't been doing that for a few years, I think it's helped a lot.

The picture in the post today is from closer to his heaviest.I'm looking for a skinny picture from recently..

    OH! Here we go.

  • That is really really impressive and quite the accomplishment!  My husband is just over 6 foot and about 245lbs...I think, and honestly I would really really like to see him lose some weight for health reasons. I think the way Jon did it is exactly the right way to go, especially for long-term results, and I wish I could convince Jimi do do the same.  Thanks for the tips Smile
  • No problem!! We just made a lot of small adjustments over time so it didn't seem like such a huge deal, ya know?

    Good luck!!
