Re: EC GTG-October?
That would be great weather for Boston! Of course, hotels are often booked in October for the college/university "family weekends" but if we book early it should be ok. I probably would stay home though since I'm just a 20 min drive in :-)
My SIL is in fall River, my Bff is in Plymouth, and one of my good friends is in Danvers, but I wantt o share a hotel with Alicia...I'm so torn. LOL!

Is that Columbus Day weekend?
I don't think two days is long enough due to flights and time at airports etc. I think it needs to be a long weekend if possible just due to logistics, especially if people are flying in.

I just checked, that's actually the weekend after Columbus Day...it's Monday the 10th this year.

Ok cool - I was just thinking how it seemed like pretty early Sunday morning most people were leaving Chicago so it was only one real day to hang out and that seemed so short.

I just checked my calendar and that 14th is my Friday off and that Monday (the 10th) we have off so technically I could take a few more days off and not worry about using up so much vacation time.
As of now, nothing is planned in October for me either.

DH saw me looking at everyone's pictures on FB from Chicago and asked why I didn't want to go.
Which means, he's open to the idea of me going to the next one. We'll really have to play it by ear though. I'm pretty much free as far as I know.
