H and i found a house today and.....drum rolll....we agree on it! it's in a neighborhood that i love and it's about $75k below market value in the neighborhood (hence the reason we can afford it!). it has the basement H needs/wants. it's a tad dated and just needs some totally cosmetic updates to make it ours, but we love it! we're going to make an offer asap...so please keep your fingers crossed that we get it. we're going in pretty close to asking price bc they just came down $35K...and it's a really fair (low) price to begin with. so...i'm hoping we get it!
eeeeeeeeek!

Re: Fingers crossed please!!
That's so exciting Bucks! Good luck!!
Will your purchase be contingent on you selling your condo? Have you considered keeping & renting the condo? I'm sure you've thought about this, but I'm curious! (or nosey)
update: we put in an offer today. we will hear back by tomorrow at 6pm. eeeeeeeeeep!
as far as our current condo goes...i wanted to sell it before we did anything. we made the offer to close in 60 days, so i'm hoping we can get this place sold before we close. i really dont want to carry both places. i think it would cash flow in terms of getting enough rent, i just don't have the time or ability to be a landlord. i'm willing to lower the price if it gets it sold. but approval-wise, i think we're ok to carry both in the bank's eyes.
