Re: Car Seat Referral

  • I used to have a roundabout and loved it. However if I was purchasing one today I would go for a model that went to a higher weight and bigger height. We also have the Britax booster seat. My Son loves it at the time it was one of the only ones with head protection.  If I was in an accident for me the $ for a Britax is worth it. They are consistently updating the technology that they build in the seats.

However you need to see if it fits with your car. No matter how safe the seat is it has to fit with your car.

FYI I got mine at Costco they don't always have them but it's worth a check. You can also sometimes get they for less $ when they change covers. they get marked down to clear them out.

Good luck I know it's a hard decision.

  • We have the Britax Marathon 70 for DS and he loves being in the car.  It seems to be very comfortable, it is very easy to adjust and install.  I like that the weight limit is so high and that it works well for extended rear facing.  For us, it was well worth the money.  We waited until BRU had a sale on carseats and then used a 20% off coupon so it ended up being a good deal.

  • We have the Graco My Ride 65. It was comparable to Britax. We had to buy 2 carseats since it was easier with pick up and drop offs to sitter.  It was a great price as well. It also has a high weight limit for both rear and forward facing!

  • i have a britax but haven't used it yet.  It received high ratings and when I went to BBB I asked them which was the best.  I also asked them which one they would use for their child regardless of money and they still said britax.
