Anyone Anemic?

When I was younger I was anemic however I upped my leafy-greens and was closely monitored and then I was fine. Im thinking I may be Anemic again. Ive been very weak, exhausted, having trouble sleeping, and Im always cold. Ive been really irritable and have had trouble paying attention/staying on track.

What Im asking is, at what point is it neccesarry to see a doctor? Can I just eat more iron-rich foods or do I need to go see my doctor?

Re: Anyone Anemic?

  • I would certainly call your doctor and let them decide. Have them take some blood work to determine if natural nutrients is all you may need. Good luck!

  • I would think it depends on how you are feeling overall.  Have you tried upping your iron intake or altering your diet recently to see if that makes any change?  Or you could just jump right in and request bloodwork from your physician to see if that's even what's affecting you...
  • i would go to the doctor. it could be anemia, or it could be a whole host of things. it's good to have the doctor diagnose you. what if it's something else entirely? especially if it's been going on for awhile, i think it's good to go in.
