Wallpaper glue is gross!!

I spent all day Saturday at our new house removing wallpaper glue. The wallpaper came of the walls very easily, but it left behind the glue. If you haven't removed it before, let me tell you, it's a real treat. It smells funny and it's sticky and gunky and runs all down your arms. Not to mention the muscle soreness from scrubbing the walls and dousing the wall with a squirt bottle.

The glue in the living room wasn't too bad, and was only on one wall.  All this is the old fashioned flour-and-water kind of glue which in the kitchen was a lovely breeding ground for some stinky black mold. The paint under the glue is super glossy so I could just scrape that off once it was wet, but it got in my hair and on my face and is SOOO GROSSS!! The tarp I had down on the floor looks like I yakked on it. I will be oh so happy when that's all done.

When I was drifting off to sleep Saturday night I was dreaming about spraying the walls and caught myself making trigger squeezing motions with my finger. At least once we get all this crap done we'll have a nice clean slate to work with.
