F/U Internship

Sooo I was able to secure an internship site last week! I met with the counselor that will be supervising me and she's really cool.  The school is a K-8 school and the set up is very interresting. I'll be cramming 100 hours between May & June, while working my normal 32/hrs/week and going to class at night.  Not looking forward to those two months b/c it will be so busy, but I am looking forward to the hands on experience!! And, so freaky, but I'm going to be Mrs. T too.. So weird.  My MIL is Mrs T, not me! eek!! I start 4/29!

  • Woohoo!

Glad you finally got something settled - I remember how anxious you were recently about getting something set up.

  • EEK!! How are you putting hrs in there and working 32 hr a week?

    Good luck!!

Oh and I hate being called Mrs. W.

  • YAY glad you were able to get this set up! You're going to be crazy busy working both places but it'll be worth it.
  • Yay, congrats! It is definitely weird to be called Mrs. the first few times, but you'll get used to it.

  • Woo hoo!! Glad that's settled. When I was a teacher my kids called me Miss B ..like literally that not abbreviating for the nest. It was more comfortable for me than Mrs. Last Name.

  • The other guy was the director - he finally got back to me with a name/school of which school I'll be working at.  he was waiting for my CORI to get back but never had the courtesy to just tell me that! I was worried that he was concerned with my CORI (because of an arrest in 2005 that I told him about).. but it ended up being fine!

for my undergrad internship I was Miss MaidenName and that was cute at first. But now Mrs MarriedName.. That's just freaky! It's a glimpse of what it will seriously look like once I graduate!!

WOOHOO, now i just need to track and hunt down my advisor to get her signature.

and how i'm doing this... well, i am going to propose to my supervisor about working some 10 hour days, making up time in teh evening by facilitating our support groups and hopefully doing other things.  i have no choice but to make it work!
