When you wake do you brush your teeth first and then eat or the other way around?

    I always brush after. I don't see a point in brushing before, when the whole point of brushing is to get rid of food and junk on your teeth.

    Both, on weekdays.

    It skeeves me out to take a shower without my teeth having been brushed.

    Same here. It seems like a waste of time, water, and toothpaste to do it before.

    Ditto. Plus, depending on what you eat, brushing first might make it taste bad.

    On the weekdays I brush before because I eat breakfast at work but I brush after I have my morning coffee. On the weekends I brush after breakfast.

    During the work week I brush before since I don't eat breakfast/have coffee until I get to work.  On weekends I brush after I have eaten breakfast and had my morning coffee.

    After if I eat at home, before if I eat at work. If I eat at work I'll either chew Dentyne Pure gum or brush my teeth again after eating.

    Before.  I don't like to open my mouth in the morning until it's to brush my teeth. 

    Plus I wear a nightguard for my grinding, so I have to brush as soon as that's out when I wake up.

    I'm supposed to wear one too. When I did wear it I had to brush my teeth as soon as I woke up, my mouth would be disgusting.

    Before I eat - I get out of bed, go to the bathroom, then brush my teeth and change clothes all before I come downstairs.  By the time I finally eat, the funky taste it causes with some foods has faded.

    Most of the time I have my coffee and eat breakfast before I brush my teeth.  Today was different.  I brushed my teeth when I got up ... sometimes you have to protect your own nose :)
